Inara: So, explain to me again why Zoe wasn't in the dress? Mal: Tactics, woman. Needed her in the back. 'Sides, those soft cotton dresses feel kinda nice. It's the whole... air-flow.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

so, the two online apps I use to do the core of my job are down. I am about to start typing in meeting notes from a spiral notebook just to keep busy.

Yeah, unfortunately, I dunno if we are allowed to use DHL. We used to, but I haven't seen one of their guys here in ages.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Nuh-uh. They were called Testa-mints.

Oop - you're correct. I saw a picture of the Testa-mints up at one his fan sites.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Nuh-uh. They were called Testa-mints.

That is correct. I love those things! They're like Velamints, only awesome.

OMG, my boss's new assistant is going to be the death of me. For one thing, she constantly walks into my office and directly around to my side of the desk. I have it set up barrier-formation on purpose! For another thing, she asks me to help her with something and then follows up ten minutes later to see if I've done it. Sheesh! It's good that she's so aggressive with our boss, but she could totally leave me alone.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Waits performed "Chocolate Jesus" on Letterman. I think that's where I heard the Testa-mints story.

It's funny/cool how big a Tom Waits fan David Letterman is....

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I thought I remembered that my ex-BiL sells something like Testa-mints, but apparently not. He does sell Atonemints and similar.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

How's the GF doing, Kalshane?

She's doing alright, all things considered. She was diagnosed with gestational diabeties, so in addition to everything else she's got to jab herself in the finger several times a day and watch her diet. However, diet has been keeping it under control, the baby itself is fine and at our last appointment the physician I dubbed "Dr. Doom and Gloom" (due to him constantly harping on everything that could possibly go wrong) was actually very positive, so things could be worse.

Next week is going to be odd, as I've been unemployed the entire time she's been living here, so we're both used to spending the whole day together, barring interviews and whatnot.

What is even happening?

Kalshane, all the best wishes for your new job.

I'm glad GF and the babe are doing well. I'm sorry about the Gestational Diabetes. A couple of Buffistas have dealt with that, and their babies are the picture of health and the moms made it through A-Okay.

Congrats on the job, Kalshane! And the healthiness of the GF.

Thanks, guys.

Yeah, GF isn't too worried about the gestational diabities, especially since the baby is doing fine. She could just do without the stabbing her fingers every few hours and her feet looking like balloons.
