Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Welcome, Noah and Grace! Do all your growing and stay healthy for your moms, now.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

It's a touch and go thing for awhile, so they'll be scaring the crap out of us for some time to come.

JZ, I think there'll be a contingency of LAistas running errands and such, I'm going to grab a spare set of keys later.

I'm unsure about care packages. I know Kat will be running back and forth to the hospital for a good long time, but I'll see what is needed and LJ a list, if that's okay?

I swear to god, I'm going to break the refresh button.

For the love of everything, be boring and ridiculously above average in health, Noah and Grace.

What is even happening?

Parenting your first newborn is a scary enterprise when you have one baby after a 40 week pregnancy, with no surprises. Having a C-section makes it that much harder. Having two babies is double the challenge, and having them so wee and early makes me wish I could quantify all of this in scientific notation. They are blessed to have so many good friends around them.

Oh my god. There is too much drama for this week, and it's not even half over yet.

Blessings to Kat and Lori and the babies. Breathing unaided is an excellent sign at such an early age, but I am sure there is a long road ahead.

I'm sorry, Theo. It sounds like the company is handling it well, and I have great confidence in your ability to find another job, but it's still hard to be laid off.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

This entire week is on my shit list.

Damn, Theo. Your entire department? That's brutal. I'm so sorry.
