I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

fingers crossed for you, ita, and hopefully no one gets close to your elbow.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Go, ita!!! Kick some ass!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Why can't I get going?

Technically, I'm on spring break at this point, but I totally don't feel like it. The SO tweaked his back at his recording session yesterday, and Seabiscuit is sick. I was up too late for no good reason yesterday, and I'm skipping church where I'm supposed to be singing.

I need to bake some bread and clean the house and do some office work so that I can have a freaking spring break, but with the SO's back jacked up it looks like we ain't going nowhere.

I'm tired, and grumpy, and worried about the dog, who apparently feels just fine now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Robin! Is your coworker who was on Lingo named Katie?? If so, she's on right now!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think I just broke something laughing.

Me too!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Okay. I'm baking the bread now. Or rather, I assembled the ingredients for the bread. And I put veggie stock on the Biscuit's breakfast which he ate up. Still haven't seen sign of the SO since about 6 this morning, but hopefully that means he's resting. If the dog is feeling better, then I can go make the grocery run shortly. I think I'll be functional by noon!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Go, ita! Kick heads! There is no pain, there is only kicking!

I think I just broke something laughing.

I've watched it twice and I'm still laughing!

Yesterday was great fun! In the morning, I went shopping, because as you know I have nothing to wear, and miraculously found a perfect skirt that fit, then Mike picked me up at noon, we fought traffic for two hours to get to where we needed to be in NYC, met a couple friends, saw a movie (Premonition - I almost enjoyed it, right up to the end, then I wanted to kick everyone who made it), ate at an awesome restaurant where men brought meat on skewers and asked if you wanted it, and when you said yes, they cut slices off with swords and dropped it on your plate, and it just kept coming! Prime rib? Pork loin? Lamb? Chicken wrapped in bacon? More steak? Why, yes! They put bowls of vegetables on the table, but sheesh, who cares. I had a broccoli floret and left the rest to Mike. Then we went to the theater, and saw Curtains, with David Hyde Pierce. Oh so good, so funny, much better than I expected! Love. I'd go to the theater all the time if I had someone to go with. And we walked a lot, a lot, because to Mike, "a couple blocks" is like 20. I was wise enough to wear comfy shoes, though, and apparently I'm in better shape than I was the last time I went tromping around NYC, so I'm actually alive today and not sore. I got to bed around 1am, slept until 11, and here I am, tired but happy. This "socializing with other humans" thing might not be so bad. (also posted to LJ - do I really need to announce that?)

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Yes, Jesse!! She was on with her fiancee (now husband) Rich! She has the office next to mine and is a way cool chick as well as a very good stand up comedian.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Good luck, ita!!

I'm still stuffed from last night. I did have breakfast before coming into work to do my required testing, which was only to make sure that they didn't screw up anything rehooking up the old servers because the move to the new servers that was supposed to happen yesterday didn't (probably will sometime in either June or July).

I brought in my sweats for a stop at the fitness center on the way home from here, but I'm going to wait a few minutes before leaving for my breakfast to finish settling. If I get on a treadmill right now, I may throw up. Eating like I did last night is going to be a very occasional event from here on out.
