I think I just broke something laughing.
Me too!
Okay. I'm baking the bread now. Or rather, I assembled the ingredients for the bread. And I put veggie stock on the Biscuit's breakfast which he ate up. Still haven't seen sign of the SO since about 6 this morning, but hopefully that means he's resting. If the dog is feeling better, then I can go make the grocery run shortly. I think I'll be functional by noon!
Go, ita! Kick heads! There is no pain, there is only kicking!
I think I just broke something laughing.
I've watched it twice and I'm still laughing!
Yesterday was great fun! In the morning, I went shopping, because as you know I have nothing to wear, and miraculously found a perfect skirt that fit, then Mike picked me up at noon, we fought traffic for two hours to get to where we needed to be in NYC, met a couple friends, saw a movie (Premonition - I almost enjoyed it, right up to the end, then I wanted to kick everyone who made it), ate at an awesome restaurant where men brought meat on skewers and asked if you wanted it, and when you said yes, they cut slices off with swords and dropped it on your plate, and it just kept coming! Prime rib? Pork loin? Lamb? Chicken wrapped in bacon? More steak? Why, yes! They put bowls of vegetables on the table, but sheesh, who cares. I had a broccoli floret and left the rest to Mike. Then we went to the theater, and saw Curtains, with David Hyde Pierce. Oh so good, so funny, much better than I expected! Love. I'd go to the theater all the time if I had someone to go with. And we walked a lot, a lot, because to Mike, "a couple blocks" is like 20. I was wise enough to wear comfy shoes, though, and apparently I'm in better shape than I was the last time I went tromping around NYC, so I'm actually alive today and not sore. I got to bed around 1am, slept until 11, and here I am, tired but happy. This "socializing with other humans" thing might not be so bad. (also posted to LJ - do I really need to announce that?)
Yes, Jesse!! She was on with her fiancee (now husband) Rich! She has the office next to mine and is a way cool chick as well as a very good stand up comedian.
Good luck, ita!!
I'm still stuffed from last night. I did have breakfast before coming into work to do my required testing, which was only to make sure that they didn't screw up anything rehooking up the old servers because the move to the new servers that was supposed to happen yesterday didn't (probably will sometime in either June or July).
I brought in my sweats for a stop at the fitness center on the way home from here, but I'm going to wait a few minutes before leaving for my breakfast to finish settling. If I get on a treadmill right now, I may throw up. Eating like I did last night is going to be a very occasional event from here on out.
Good luck, ita! (I guess you're there now, kicking people in the head.)
Allyson, that sounds like a wonderful wedding! My brother's wedding was sort of like that, complete with the food one couldn't identify, but the alcohol was nothing near as good.
I had a lovely evening with Lee last night (homemade pizza and salad and TJ's caramel-walnut tort with ice cream), watching vids. And this morning I got up at 7:30 to go run with my sister, as we do every Sunday, and I got to her house, and--I'd forgotten she was in the mountains this weekend!
So instead of going back to bed, I went home and got my iPod, and went and did a long run that my sister has been reluctant to do, because it's at least a mile and a half longer than our usual one, and has mega hills. And that took a long time, but I ended running flat-out down the last section (nearly taking myself out on a dog's flexi-lead, woops), and it was awesome. Yay for iPods loaded with Fountains of Wayne and Van Morrison.
And then I had an omelette and did the dishes and now I really have to do my taxes. Bah.
Hey, I had a lovely evening eating homemade pizza and watching vids too! Imagine that.
Now I am trying to convince myself that I need to get up and clean instead of reading fic.
I finally got a chance to watch last week's GA, and I like it. It feels more like my old show.
Lee, insent with that thing with the stuff.
OK, I've gone grocery shopping. Now, I need to clean my stove. I keep finding ways to procrastinate on this one.
