I had the damnedest dream last night. For some reason, face piercings seem like a good idea. I ended up with two in each eye brow and this big hoop sticking out of my cheekbone. And then I got a tiny hoop put in the top of my left little toe.

I can justify the face piercings by looking at pictures of a woman who was quite pretty except for the ring in the septum of her nose (sorry, I keep thinking livestock when I see those). But I don't know what the significance is of my left little toe.

Once, in the music thread, Corwood discovered my real age (31) and was shocked that I was so young. (He decided I was "professorial.") But, online, I might have been counting in dog years, so that's just plain funny, not insulting.

I did have coworkers surprised to discover my age, because they all tought I was 27. I was like, "Well I do have fewer forehead wrinkles than anybody on Dawson's Creek -- oh wait, that show was big when you were still in the seventh grade!! Nevermind."

My brother wanted a shuffle specifically for workouts at the gym and likes it very well enough. He's not even tempted by anything fancier.

I don't know what age I look now. But I was regularly getting carded when I was 30. And when I was a junior in college, a lot of people thought I was still in high school.

My step dad took a picture of my siblings and my mom this past weekend. I think she looks damn good for 86. Her hair is about 25% gray now. My brother is the baby of the family at 52. [link]

So I'm taking a Greyhound bus today. I bought the tickets online. Since I bought them online, they say I have to show up at least one hour early to pick up my tickets.

Unsurprisingly, I also get carded all the time. Since I'm 32, that's generally not an issue...except for the one time we went out to dinner and I forgot my license. Then it was just annoying since NO ONE ELSE I was with got carded and could all drink. I didn't even really want the beer, but it irked me all night. I may have sulked. A little.

In random news, I downloaded a bunch of French music (jazz, pop, etc.) in honor of One Book Week (we've been reading The Little Prince as a grade 6-12 school--very fun) and now have lots of new artists to spend money on. I only bought a few tracks of this album, but I really want all of them. So addictive!
