Our wings are not tired.

I've seen Elizabeth Edwards speak twice and I am crushed for her. She's a dynamic woman and I hope for the best for them.

I haven't seen her live, but I have been very impressed with her in interviews. She rocks. They seem to have a nice marriage. It really must be tough to have to share such personal matters with the whole world. Their open discussion is refreshing.

Validate me in my selfish and costly choice, natterers.

Go with selfish and costly! I did. Although I'll probably be finishing off my homemade chicken tortilla soup for dinner because I got a salad bigger than my head for lunch.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm this close to buying a home theatre system so I don't have to get up from the couch to switch an A/B box. Of course, it would also be a home theatre system, with better sound and video quality, but the first impetus is to not have to get up for the damn A/B switch.

...and claimed that his department has been “tremendous in the area of public corruption.”

Now that , I can believe. Maybe not in exactly the same sense as Gonzales meant, though.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales announced this morning: “I’m not going to resign. I’m going to stay focused on protecting our kids.”

Without Gonzales, who will protect our kids by teaching them that torture is perfectly reasonable and moral as long as it's Americans doing the torturing? WILL NO ONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!?

Okay, this cat actually made me snork out loud at my desk: [link]

I can have homemade chicken tortilla soup for lunch (again) or I can stop when I go to the post office and get something else. Validate me in my selfish and costly choice, natterers.

Go soup, choose soup! That way I'm not the only eating it (turkey barley today, with oyster crackers, apple, and a cookie).

That cat is hilarious!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Is this the only source for the "Edwards suspending campaign" incorrect news screwup? Because of one blogger with one source, a bunch of big media got it wrong? Or were there other false sources?

Politico updates false Edwards report.

Politico’s Ben Smith on his false report: “A single, confident source close to John Edwards told me this morning that Edwards was ’suspending his campaign,’ and I posted it to the blog at 11:06 this morning. My source, and I, were wrong. … I trusted the source, somebody I’ve known for several years, and who has always been reliable. And with less than an hour before Edwards was to announce, I unwisely wrote the item without getting a second source.”

CNN’s Candy Crowley doesn’t have much sympathy: “Now, Politico.com has cracker jack reporters over there.”

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.
