My sister was telling me last night that she hasn't had liquor (other than occasional sips of her fiance's drink) since she had her gastric-bypass surgery last October. She keeps looking longingly at wine bottles, but is determined not to have any until the wedding in October, and even then, she'll only have a glass or two. Problem is, with the smaller stomach liquor will make her "an easy date," as she termed it.
I'm soooo glad I decided to skip the surgery option, although I've skipped liquor since starting the diet, as well (but I wasn't the wine fan that Sis is).
I could practically recite it at this point! Which is part of why I feel no need to see it.
In theory, it should only take me 3 hours to make the drive. I've made good time once or twice. But I gather they've started up even more crazy construction on the highway, and I could very well spend 3 hours just trying to get out of Chicago.
Also. Um. My registration expired in January, and I kind of haven't been to the DMV yet because I rarely need to drive anywhere.
As an adult, I suck out loud, man.
CNN is reporting that John Edwards is suspending his campaign because his wife's cancer has recurred.
shrift, I had to get my registration renewed a few weeks ago, when I realized I'd been driving around on tags that expired back in November. Oops!

Oh, crap.
I mean, not that I care for him as a candidate, but crap.

I'm haven't driven my car since my tags expired, and I think that's about the only thing I can say in my defense.

Oh, I was afraid of that. Good luck to them.
