Only on good days. On bad days, they close up and just kinda snorfle.
Jesse, did you know there's a new H&M at like 20th & 5th? It's a good one, and not that crowded.
Ooh, I did not know that! Although now that I think about it, I remember the Coming Soon signs. There's a Banana right there, too! Maybe I'll do that. Not that I've gotten dressed or anything, yet.
In other news, I'm thinking about branching out into knead bread, after a couple of go-rounds with the no-knead, but every recipe I have starts out with scalding milk, and I don't know, that doesn't appeal. What's it about? I really like the concept of it being just flour and water and yeast and salt. Does anyone have a simple basic bread recipe?
You can replace scalded milk with dry milk and warm water, if that's your only objection.
I thought I had a really basic flour+ yeast+water recipe, and I do, but it's for pizza dough.
I plan on doing nothing today AGAIN. This healing stuff is boring. I can't wait until my two-week appointment next Tuesday, and hope I'll be cleared to do more things.
Something like this: [link]
Honestly, you can take the same components from the no-knead (though I would add a little more yeast and salt) and just make it normally.
Proof the yeast, let it rise 'til doubled, punch it down and knead, shape into loaves, let rise again, and bake. Done! If you spritz the loaves with water a handful of times during baking you'll get a similar crust effect.
Cool, thanks, brenda. It seemed like that would be the case, which was why I was a little flummoxed by all the additional ingredients in the other recipes I was finding!
Wishing that I had some yeast. Thelma feels like more baking.
