Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

OMG! With the flight cancelling! My designer was coming in from NYC this weekend to do fittings. It is the only weekend she has before the show. I took today off AND cancelled the rest of my root canal so we could shop. All the students were coming back early from spring break. I got to the shop at 6 AM so I could finish a few things before she got here.

Yup, her flight was cancelled! I have spent the day rescheduling fittings, trying to find a good camera, buying linings and zippers for fabric that I haven't seen, and shopping with my rental car (which I now have to return, after I drive home, unload, and drive back to the airport). Then I take a taxi to my car, pray it starts and drive home.

Very strange day

Now tagless for your comfort.

Jetblue is telling me on the phone that my flight has NOT been cancelled. Tell that to Port Columbus airport and Jetblue's website.

Is the bad weather going all the way down to Trenton? I'm trying to reach someone at the central government switchboard, and keep getting "Sorry for the delay. Please stay on the line..." I think everyone's gone home already.

Been on hold forever with Jetblue. Girl's telling me it's NOT cancelled. I hate their hold music.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I hope you get a straight answer soon, Cashmere.

Just spoke with my mom who's near Cherry Hill, NJ, and she said it's a bit slick out there. Her stepdaughter, who lives west of Philly and works between there and Harrisburg, was sent home early and passed by six accidents on the way home. So, I'm guessing the state government workers in Trenton were also sent home early.

Our wings are not tired.

It's lovely here, but 30 miles north of me DH called and reported wild thunderstorms with power out and debris all over the highway. Eeep.

We need rain so badly. Kind of hope it makes it down this far.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Radar now showing ice in northwest corner of Fairfax County. I can only hope we get home before it gets too messy.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I got home without too much trouble aside from a very crowded trolley. For once, the 88 Bus was waiting right in the bus port, so I didn't even need to pull out the hat and scarves for a long cold wait as I was prepared to do! And now I have a warming house and two fuzzy cats and a few extra hours of play time, with a bonus view of my snowy backyard!
