So there is something I can do, besides scream like a woman?

Our wings are not tired.

It's lovely here, but 30 miles north of me DH called and reported wild thunderstorms with power out and debris all over the highway. Eeep.

We need rain so badly. Kind of hope it makes it down this far.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Radar now showing ice in northwest corner of Fairfax County. I can only hope we get home before it gets too messy.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I got home without too much trouble aside from a very crowded trolley. For once, the 88 Bus was waiting right in the bus port, so I didn't even need to pull out the hat and scarves for a long cold wait as I was prepared to do! And now I have a warming house and two fuzzy cats and a few extra hours of play time, with a bonus view of my snowy backyard!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay! My boss said we could leave early! But I feel like I should do one more thing. Which theoretically I could bring home and do, but the odds of that are between slim and none. I'm definitely out of here at 5, though -- I got screwed over on the Valentine's storm.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It is kinda chilly here.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Flight is definitely cancelled. I went to rebook online but they were going to charge me $25 to change. To get that fee waived I had to call. Resulting in a very long time on hold and the confusion of whether the flight was cancelled. The agent has now rebooked me for two weeks from now, which should be $100 cheaper. Only she had to put me on hold again because she doesn't know how to credit me for a cheaper flight.

I hope everyone on the East coast goes home early and stays warm.

I'm still on hold to disco music.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm glad you're able to rebook, Cashmere.

What is even happening?

Sheeeeesh, Cashmere. Go rub your Shingles on these people.

OK, that made me laugh. The girl was lovely and nice. I've rebooked for two week out. With two inconvenience vouchers applied to a much cheaper flight, I'm looking at $132 credit after this flight is paid for.

I'll take it. But I'm still crushed I can't go this weekend.

I'm going to go take a nap and unpack.
