Because books.

I enjoyed Raines, but I adore Jeff Goldbum. And "Gwen" did a really good job as the murder victim, too.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Okay! So apparently a dude was murdered in the building behind ours, and three hot Homicide Detectives came by to question everyone in our apartment building, and I missed it all because I was at the bar.

How much trouble would you be in if you covered yourself with fake blood and acted really suspicious around them?

The last time there was a murder near where I lived was when I was living in Minneapolis - there were four murders within a block of where I lived during the 3 1/2 years I lived there. However, all the murders were of people the killers knew, and were all drug and/or gang related.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

ION apparently someone has loosed a pack of howler monkeys (aka my cow-orkers who were apparently raised in a zoo) in the men's room. Ugh.

(Could you link me back to the Ellis page, though? I'm trying to keep track of where those spoilers have been posted.)

This should work -- you'll have to login as a guest to see the post, I think. But they didn't repost anything that I saw, just linked directly to a post here. [link]

At this point? I think they'd be worried about my mental state. And I pretty much have a solid alibi for all of yesterday. Although I probably should hold off on the stabbing jokes for a few days.

Hey does anyone have a Consumer Reports subscription who can tell me what they say about mattresses?

bon bon - Mar 16, 2007 4:40:46 am PDT #7383 of 10001
It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Sue, I read the article a few weeks ago. They don't say anything-- all their tests bore out was that if you go to the store, test out the mattresses and buy the one you like best, you will like it for the lifetime of the mattress; price and brand don't matter. They didn't do any rankings.

Baltimore County schools are such wusses. Closing 2 hours early. And, ok, there were ice pellets mixed with the rain this morning, but they were melting. It's above freezing. The ground is above freezing. It's gross but this is ridiculous. All winter, they've been closing if someone within 200 miles says the word snow.

Also? I got stuck behind someone who couldn't figure out how to operate the garage gate. Despite having worked here 15+ years. Really.

Aaaaah!! Don't they know how many mattresses are out there in the world? I need some help narrowing the field down.

Thanks bon.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Somerville schools are closing early too -- there's been a Snow Emergency! declared starting 48 minutes ago, though not a flake had fallen yet.

But, bravely, I went in to work anyway. And found out that my project leader stayed home to work. Ah well.
