That sounds about right, shrift--it's in Andersonville on Clark, I think right down the street from the Swedish Bakery, one of my favorite places in town (my boss always gets me limpa bread and/or butter cookies from there for my birthday, which is coming up next week--can't wait!).
ETA: Andersonville X-post!
Yeah, it's Andersonville, North of Uptown (where I live).
There's a Blockbuster about three blocks from me - they have a DVD section called "Community Favorites" that's all GLBT stuff. At first I was confused, but I guess they consider themselves close enough to Andersonville to be part of it.
In the general Reza's area. . .
Mmmm, Reza's. Love their dill rice and hummus--actually, their whole lunch buffet is wonderful!
Awesome. I just like it when I actually know where stuff is without having to look it up first.
Anyway, I think I'll leave work in a few minutes, go home and take a nap while charging my digital camera.... So I'll pro'lly be there....
I didn't have my whole wedding planned, but at 20 I had my dress designed, as well as my mother and sister's outfits. By 22, I had strong preferences for what the groom would wear.
Now I have my entire wedding planned, even though I'm single. Elope, elope very far away.
most of the other girls thought I was weird
This is, I think thankfully, still me.
I love this concept that men don't give a shit what their wedding is like. Um... what? I hold on to the notion that there were actually two days in school when they separated the boys and the girls, and clearly I was sick for the other one.
The internet is rather nice. I can tell it is pouring (or was, a moment ago) at my house.
Unfortunately, the internet cannot close the window I left open or deliver an umbrella.
I had a whole bunch of stuff typed up to say, and then my computer crashed. And as I was typing this, it crashed again. I hate this computer. I think it knows it, too.
I've never planned my wedding, or planned to have one. If I ever get hitched, I'll probably elope.
