Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

Thank you!!

My dad had a cylinder of it in his office, with a label identifying it in both terms. It fascinated me (so freaking heavy!)

I wonder if he still has it.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Raisin Bran:

We should meet one of these days...

We should. DH's office is in Columbia, so I'm in the area every so often.

I'm best for weekends and Fredrick isn't far, in any case. I haven't quite succumbed all the way to the east coast distance paradigm, though I'm quite under its spell. I've ended up there just driving in nice weather.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Grossest. House. Ever.

Seriously.

Excellent!

Heh. Born and raised on the East Coast, but the distance thing was never hard-coded in me. I've driven to Philly just for a cheesesteak and a cannoli.

L&O:SVU: Holy shit! The attorney is Cary Elwes. He hasn't aged as well as I expected him to.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang is on HBO. We're watching that right now.

DH has decided to work from home tomorrow due to ICEPOCALYPSE.

I grew up out west. 3 hour day trip was nothing, then I went to school out here. Suddenly DC is far. Which is weird, but then the whole concept of driving 2 hours to work is too weird (though plenty in the DC-Balt area do it.) In my mind, you live where you work, you go distance for entertainment. It's kind of confusing.

OMG, why am I watching Frontline on e.european sex-trade? Pissing me off six ways from sunday. Not the best bedtime watching.

I get it. I'd love to live where I work, but we couldn't afford to buy anything closer in. Besides, me being closer means he's further away. I lived in DC for 10 years, and then I moved to Rockville. After we got married, we were looking to buy and Frederick fit the bill.

I'm very lucky I can work flex hours: 10-6:30. I miss rush hour traffic, and I stay out of jail. Win-win proposition in my book.

Smart decision on DH's part, Cash. Some schools in this area have already made the decision to close tomorrow.
