Yeah, I could do that, but I'm paralyzed with not caring very much.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

See I don't care a whit for morning darkness. I'm either sleeping in, drinking coffee or going to work. Might as well do those things in the dark.

But evening light? Frabjous joy, that's what that is. That's time to go outside and play with Emmett. It heralds the ending of winter (or the beginning of the end of winter, anyway). It leaps ahead on the sun's rotation and brings me more light.

Less gloom, more fun. What's not to love?

Happy birthday, tommyrot! Did they schedule a classic car show for you? With perhaps a side exhibit of hairless cats?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Heh. I wonder if there are any pet stores that give out free hairless cats for your birthday....

Thanks for all the b-day wishes, y'all....

ION, I love stuff that's funny and that takes a hypocrite down a notch and that raises money for charity at the same time....

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday tommyrot!

So far I've discovered that G's computer did adjust the time and mine didn't. Haven't checked the VCRs yet.

What is even happening?

Morning sunlight improves my outlook. It will only be a few weeks before it adapts, so it's no big, but for those areas of the country that do get actual winter, this more hours outdoors business is for the birds until it warms up considerably, and Markey knows it.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday Tommyrot!

I went back to sleep accidentally, after I made coffee but before I could drink it.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

DVR self-adjusted, the dvd/vcr didn't. All the computers and cell phones did. That leaves the clocks and watches to reset. Microwave, coffeemaker, check.

Happy Birthday, Tommy!

I'm with Hec on loving the light after work. I'm most depressed when I don't see sun all week, going in and coming home in the dark. And it usually rains those weekends, too. I get snarly and bite.

I don't mind getting up with first light or even earlier. In fact, I'd vote to leave DST in place all year. It's the switching back and forth that makes me grumpy.

I don't hate DST, just the much earlier start to it, this year. I would rather stay the same time all year, though. They should split the difference between standard and DST, is what they should do.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Happy Birthday Tommyrot!

My motivation to get anything done today has just evaporated. I think best friend's son absorbed all the energy I should have in the process of fidgeting himself into a higher dimension at dinner last night. (He's ADHD and they let him off his meds on weekends so his appetite will improve.)
