I think he understands the time change now, but remains totally against it. He was crying about it this morning. No lie.Huh. Poor kid.
I suppose you could wait until he's asleep and change the clocks then and not tell him....

I am practically crying about the time change, too. And The Dillo definitely is.
In other OMGWTF First-World Problems, they rearranged the fucking grocery store, so I had to go down every aisle.
I may possibly be a little overtired.
No really - this has got to be the shiniest car evah! Especially cool in larger photos: [link]

Aw.
I'm going to be pissed tomorrow when I have to wake up in the dark again.
That's like the car version of the bean in Chicago.
My strategy for dealing with the lost hour is to pretend it never happened. I just keep telling myself that the new current time is normal and nothing's changed. This works, except if I see a clock that hasn't been reset, the whole illusion falls apart, like that Christopher Reeve time-travel movie when he sees a modern penny....
OMG, I've been up for more than an hour before I remembered - today is my birthday!
Fun. So far I have nothing planned....
Happy birthday!!

Somewhere in Time! I LOVE that movie.
Happy Birthday, tommyrot!!!
Your birthday falls just a week after mine. I will have to remember that, next year.

It's too late now, but also, he has to get over it. I know that sounds a little heartless, and I wasn't heartless with him at all, I was patient and explainful. But speaking as a change-is-bad devotee, myself, I think there are things you just have to get used to. Last night, when he was so very much not liking that his brother set their bedroom clock ahead, I taught him the Serenity Prayer, and explained this is one of those "Accept the things I cannot change," times.
He'll be over it in a day or so. I'm pretty sure he was a little perturbed when we set back the clocks last fall, too.

Me too, and it was my own Congressional Rep who started this let's-do-it-earlier nonsense. I think it's ridiculous.

I wouldn't want to be behind it on a sunny day. Yeeeeeesh.
