We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My computer didn't implode with the time change. Kids still got up at the same time, but that means they slept until 7 today.

edit: board time's still frelled, though.

What is even happening?

Christopher is all upset about the time change. He said, "How am I going to know the right time."

I explained about time being a human construct and how as long as people agree on the time, it's the time. He didn't use these exact words, but it seems he thinks that's somewhere between cheating and lying.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Heh. Just wait until he has to grok that money is a human concept as well.

I think he had money down, pretty early. About the time he was going walkabout to go buy himself a slushie.

Yeah, but 'money' turns out to be a more abstract concept, what with ATMs and credit cards and money transfers -- it used to be tied to a gold standard, for instance. Right now, money comes from Mommy and Daddy, it's not some sort of indirect transfer from what labor you do in your job to what's in your pocket/mattress/bank account.

No, he actually understands that, Theo. He understands, because we've had many conversations over the years when the children have wanted something, and I didn't have the dosh for it, and they thought I could just use the magic bank card to get it.

I think he understands the time change now, but remains totally against it. He was crying about it this morning. No lie.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh. Poor kid.

I suppose you could wait until he's asleep and change the clocks then and not tell him....

information libertarian

I am practically crying about the time change, too. And The Dillo definitely is.

In other OMGWTF First-World Problems, they rearranged the fucking grocery store, so I had to go down every aisle.

I may possibly be a little overtired.
