Okay, we're making the call. Snow day! They're closing the local schools early, they're cancelling a game that's supposed to be played down on the reservation tonight, and our partner's wife says she's driving through a blizzard. From our window, the snow has totally picked up, and it's supposed to be snow and rain and ice until it's all snow overnight, both up here and down on the reservation, through tomorrow.
So we're calling it. Trying to get hold of our partner now.
I took a bath scented with rose salts and I've already stacked the wood, so we're going to tuck in tonight. The Biscuit came in all wet from the snow in the run, and got the house all wet running frantically back and forth trying to find me while I was in the tub. Hee.
And by "not that much snow" I guess I should clarify and say we'll probably end up with less than a foot.
No, that's fair. It's just after experiencing a couple of years with 36" accruals during big storms (and hearing about the 100+" in New York), a foot is reasonable given how little we've gotten so far this year.
Timelies all!
Congrats Jessica and DH!
They closed the gov't agencies at 2 here because of the "wintry mix".(This Connecticut-born-and-raised person thinks "Wusses!", but I'm not going to argue about it)
(Note: "Lonely Boy" is a really whiny song. Man, I hate my tendancy to notice the lyrics sometimes.)

My friend in UnionTown, Ohio got sent home from work forcause of the snow.
If the US really wants to switch over to dollar coins then they need to stop making dollar bills to force the switch.
Seriously. I realize we've moved on, but I cannot express how much I agree with this. "Why oh why don't people want to pick the new thing??" @@
I'm annoyed at the promised wintry mix here already, and it hasn't even started yet. I hate wintry mix!!

When I see the phrase "wintry mix" I can't help but wonder if it's similar to Chex mix.
I WISH! Then I would love it! Instead, I hate it. Last I checked, they were forecasting 3-6 inches of SLUSH here. Seriously?
How do you pile slush that high?
