What is even happening?

I haven't gotten any LJ spam, I don't think. I might have mine set to be ungoogleable, though.

Oh! Got busy today and forgot to mention, but as of this morning I've lost 25 pounds on the diet—pretty good considering yesterday was the start of my sixth week.

Matt, that's great! Good for you.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm watching Bob Woodruff on The Daily Show, and holy shit, it's amazing how well he is. Really incredible.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Netflix for books

I have this already. It's called the library down the block.

Dude - I had that idea months ago! I think it's a good one. Yes, the library is down the block, but how often do you go to it? It's like Blockbuster is down the block, too, but Netflix is much more convenient and has a better selection. We'll see if it pans out.

Blockbuster is corporate scum. I like supporting my local library. The books, they are free for all and provide for the learnin'.

I agree about supporting the library. It would be good if libraries could provide this service in exchange for some $$.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The books, they are free for all and provide for the learnin'.

Communist.

Thrive to spite them

Jesse, our paper calls that "Zing!"s (you can call or email) --usually stupid assholish comments people are too cowardly to put their name to like today someone attacked a elementary school girl who wrote a nice letter expressing her concern about all the trees that are being cut down locally for wider roads, etc.

And this gem: Know how to shut up a liberal? Ask them for their explanation for the rising ambient temperature of Mars.

Heh. Best to not ask the liberals where I am right now.

Aw. The Somerville Journal's Speak Outs aren't usually so bad.

Also, I love the library! Except I can't get there often enough -- I had to give up for a while, after paying a huge fine. Yet another reason I'm counting down the weeks til Summer Fridays.
