Is it really supposed to be that bad?

I have no idea. We're not getting that much snow here; the high winds are causing trouble with drifting, though. When you go outside, it feels like you're being whipped with ice pellets.

It's snraining here. Or, wait.....maybe it's gone back to snow already. It keeps switching.

And by "not that much snow" I guess I should clarify and say we'll probably end up with less than a foot.

(Not an ape foot.)

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Note that my house insurance gets held in escrow by my mortgage company, so it's possible that they could mispay it in some bizarre computing mishap.

This is their situation also. It's not one of the larger insurance companies. I just can't imagine how something like that would happen. Usually I'm pretty good at picking back over something so I can see exactly where the problem is, but here all I can see is insurance co. doesn't want to pay so they tell the poor person, who is unlikely to think they can afford an attorney, payment wasn't made (if I'm not mistaken, the whole, "Your payment went to another account." thing came up after mortgage co said check was cashed) then came up with another reason not to pay.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I am home, and am no worse for wear. Really, it's not that bad in the southern part of the city... it's a little bit slushy. I think the big worry is that there's a forecasted 4 to 8 possible inches, and it'll get really cold tonight, so ice galore. Just above C-bus, snows a-plenty.

Yay for Jessica and DH!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My understanding is that if the cheque is cashed, then they're on the hook. But that's lay law, worst of the worst.

Which reminds me--off to find out if my insurance admits I exist yet. Fuckers. I need pills.

Art Crawl!!!

Congratulations Jessica and DH!

I'm watching videos at the WKC website and I think I've decided that borzois are just oddlooking dogs.

I love those! They look like a cross between an afghan and a greyhound.

Art Crawl!!!

I think my favorite sighthound is the Deerhound. But I watched the wolfhound judging and picked the winner so -- go me.

Remember the lady with the trash car that was mentioned here yesterday? It turns out that she has two other trash-filled cars and a houseful of trash (so much that the front door won't close, seriously).

Thanks for the update. My coworker and I have been wondering about the deeper story.
