Zoe: Next time we smuggle stock, let's make it something smaller. Wash: Yeah, we should start dealing in those black-market beagles.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I love that Tina Fey quote. When The OC finally kicks it, I can start watching 30 Rock, right?

You should, although it'll be preempted in March for the new Andy Richter show.

Now tagless for your comfort.

And I have been told I can leave an hour early if I want, due to the SNOWMAGGEDON.

We're now officially getting sleet. Or it might be freezing rain. I can never tell those two apart. DH needs to leave training today and get his ass home. It's yucky out.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

We have a ton of snow, and it all fell in the last, like, two hours. This morning when I put the dog out, I was all, "Oh, they said it was going to snow, but look at this, just a trickle!" I blithely swept the porch off. Then wham! Now I'm thinking we may get the locally predicted foot and a half or so, despite the contrary national prediction and the fact that it's almost too damn warm to snow.

Anyway, it's all very, very pretty, but I am inside, so I made Canadian bacon and eggs and blueberry pancakes for breakfast. Hint: Do not eat the first two pancakes you make, or your attention span will quickly wane and the rest of your pancakes will be very bad.

(edited b/c "Hint" is not spelled "Hit" unless you're hurrying back to the kitchen because your posting about ignoring blueberry pancakes reminded you that you are still, in fact, making said pancakes, despite evidence to the contrary that you are surfing the net.)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Remember the lady with the trash car that was mentioned here yesterday? It turns out that she has two other trash-filled cars and a houseful of trash (so much that the front door won't close, seriously).

There's also footage....

Isn't it sleet == turns to ice in the air, freezing rain == turns to ice after hitting the ground?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You should, although it'll be preempted in March for the new Andy Richter show.

Oh yeah! Of Jane Espenson fame.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Gud, I think we call those conditions "Sucky Weather #1 and Sucky Weather #2."

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Isn't it sleet == turns to ice in the air, freezing rain == turns to ice after hitting the ground?

That's what I thought. It all translates to bad.

I'm... at my office. And I think I might have to come in tomorrow, because snow days don't exist around here. I'm just hoping that things don't suddenly go pear-shaped and I get stuck somewhere. I will take a ticket and go home, thanks much.

Why doesn't weather hate Las Vegas?

Um, because Las Vegas made it a point to segregate itself out in the desert where bad stuff is supposed to go?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The roads here seem fine as far as I can tell. The SO may have a different tale to tell when he gets back home, but...

We'll have to see what it does the rest of the day. I think we'll still be able to go down the hill by this evening. If we end up missing classes tonight, I will be sad, because we had such a great class yesterday, and tomorrow we're off (because our team is in the tournament, yay, and pretty much the whole tribe is off work and school so everyone can go to Flagstaff for the game) so our whole week flow would be disrupted.
