It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I don't know that series, but it wouldn't shock me if this one was a ripoff.

The Philosophy of the Simpsons, BtVS, LotR, Matrix and other pop culture subjects. AFAIK (well, what I've been told from the in-house philosopher) none of the authors of the included essays are significant philosophy personages.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Hey Allyson, remember that optics catalog that had you irate? (It was Edumd Optics, yeah?)

It's just hit the AAS Committee on the Status of Women listserv.

Because I'm bored, I googled that catalog, and got this blog: [link]

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Oh thank god. I was told I was nuts for being so mad about it.

I feel vindicated.

ION, my hands won't stop shaking. It's really really really real.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I think there's a joke somewhere in this picture: [link]

They were kind enough to include scans and contact information in the mail. Heh. Oh, and some of EO's industrial/academic affiliates.

I just threw out the copy the other day because it made me mad everytime I found it under a pile on my desk.

The pointed failure-to-get-the-message coming out of corporate still astonishes me.

I can't believe I'm actually hoping for snow. If only because otherwise, it's ice and that would really really suck.

Allyson!!

My brain isn't working properly today, and I'm working on some fairly complex SQL. Or at least trying to. I'm just making mistakes left and right. I should go home, right?

Our wings are not tired.

Yes Tom, no good can come from staying at work any longer. Go home.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I'm about to drown in saccharine. Mr. Jane just called to tell me he heard a story that reminded him of me- that Ryan Secrest asked John Mayer about Jessica Simpson, and he answered in Japanese, which ended up translating to "Jessica Simpson is beautiful in a way you will never understand."

I'm not usually this much of a sap, but I think I'll make it through the rest of the day with a smile on my face.
