I heard a rumour that pharmaceutical sales reps were all really pretty. Every time I go to my migraine specialist there are tons of nattily dressed people lugging rolling suitcases who look suspiciously goodlooking--so far I haven't seen any reps who disprove this theory.

I saw a study once showing that the sex ratio of pharma (and medical instrument) reps is the mirror opposite of the sex ratio of practitioners. All pharma reps in cardiology are attractive females, because almost all cardiologists are male; pharma reps for family practice or pediatrics or dermatology are often attractive and charming men, because the target docs are more likely to be female.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Filtered water, cold, lukewarm (why?), and hot, that's right, the trifecta.

Some of us LIKE to drink it lukewarm. I hate cold water. Hurts my teeth.

We have that, auto-brew coffee, soda, and an assortment of teas and packaged beverage powders.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Some of us LIKE to drink it lukewarm.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

We have a decent cafeteria onsite, but the food (which is supposedly subsidized) is average-priced (the typical lunch is $5-7). We also have a workout room downstairs, with weight machines, a few treadmills and stationary bikes, and an elliptical machine. But, I go to the park district's fitness center instead, since they have a pool there, too.

Speaking of perqs, I helped out a co-worker on a project last week, and she just came by and gave me a $25 AmEx gift cheque (paid for by the company)! I was planning on heading over to the clothes store this week and pick up some much-needed items, so I'll probably spend it on that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm actually with Plei on this-- I usually drink water and even soda at room temp or just slightly chilled.

Art Crawl!!!

Usually I like my water cold, but during the mini-iceage in my apartment actual room temperature -- given that room temperature was in the 50s -- was good.

Yeah, we keep our Britta on the counter, not in the fridge.
