Hmm, things I'm not going to say today but want to:
Pick a goddamn deadline and stick to it! Do not try to stick every last bit of code into this release, and if your crap doesn't make the deadline, tough fucking shit!
Seriously, we had a deadline of the 19th originally (thought not originally originally - that was the 12th or possibly the 5th), then we were told it would be the 26th, and THEN on the 19th we were told it might be the 21st but we wouldn't know until that morning. NOW the fucktards in charge say we don't have a deadline, but we MIGHT have one by next WEDNESDAY!!??!??! Get your shit together, ASSHATS!
Whew. That did feel good.
This New York Times story on magazine crews is astonishing: [link]
I had no idea there were these itinerant gangs of violent, drug-abusing magazine sellers. I once was pressured into buying a subscription from one like a dozen years ago and it was creepy, but still I had no clue of how terrible it is.
ETA: the reporting on the article is also total Pulitzer bait.
Kate Walsh is apparently getting a Grey's spinoff: [link]
Hmm. That could be cool. She's a lot less annoying than Meredith. Maybe they'll let Callie go with her-- I like their interactions.

See,
that
I could watch. Cool.
You go to church, they put the ashes on your forehead.
Hm. That's what I thought it meant.
Religion is so weird when you don't have context.

It's not really less weird when you DO have context.
Freak-Ass Church. IJS.
A young woman came to my door within the last couple of years selling magazines. I wanted to take her in, call her folks and feed her til they got here. Instead, I pretended I didn't know she was coming on to me, and called the police and asked them to investigate if these kids were under age.
Oh, Cindy. That's so heartbreaking.
It really was. I think I posted about here or in Bitches, at the time, but I have no memory of when it was. I know we were in this house, but we've been here three and a half years, now. I think if the kids hadn't been home, I might have tried to intervene more directly.
