Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Happy birthdays to arliss and Benno!

Happy anniversary, kat and lori!

You're welcome, bon. One thing I forgot to mention is that Bob will probably have to promise at some point that he will do his best to raise any children in the faith, as a condition of marrying in the church. They'll also make a big deal about being "open" to children. If it's an issue for one or both, you'll need to figure out how you're going to deal with it with the priest. There will also be "special counseling" since the two of you live together. It adds to the eyerolly.

Edited for clarity since the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops has seen fit to put the question of raising children in the faith on to the Catholic spouse-to-be, and not the non-Catholic one, as it had been previously.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

11:30 here, and I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my day. So far I've managed to bring Quicken up to date and also get dressed. Unfortunately, the omnipresent sinus headache has returned from a short recess.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Yep, Chinese New Year is today. Gawd, the parades in San Francisco were fun....

I got woken up a lot this weekend by the fireworks. Mmmm, fireworks.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Happy Birthday, Beverly!! Happy Birthday, Benno!!

Happy Anniversary, Kat and lori!

I'm another one working today. Actually, most of the company is off; just those of us who are considered "support staff" had to show up. Oh, well, it's quiet, the parking lot is practically empty, and I'll probably end up leaving a bit early this afternoon to run some errands.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've picked up two extra classes until such time as I should get an actual job, so today is more work for me than usual. In fact, it's like weekend...Saturdays I start at 11:30, Sundays at 10:30, and now Mondays at 10:15. It's during the week that I get to sleep in.

Happy birthday Beverly and Benno! And a marvellous anniversay to kat & lori!

information libertarian

The cubicle next to where I microwave my lunch has only two decorations:
1. A xerox of a bumper sticker reading, "I don't know, I don't care, and it doesn't make a difference anyway."
2. A xerox of a cartoon of a ravening dog giving the observer the finger, captioned, "I'm about to develop an attitude!"
Now, I can certainly appreciate the need for a little subversion at work - I surfe the fucking internet all day long, eh - but really, this just seems stupid.
