I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

Oh, Emily - I wish I could actually answer right now, but I have to run out to teach (which, partly, answers your question in and of itself, in a way, doesn't it?).

It's always good to read from you, and I hope that all the effort and thought and emotion you're putting into this will start to show the results I'm sure they already have.

Oof, I wish I could stay and write more - I miss you.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I once again forgot to turn off my alarm clock -- I'm still impressed that it has an M-F setting (my clock knows what day it is!), but it's less exciting when I actually have Monday off. Ah well.

information libertarian

It is a working Monday here. Sigh.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I keep forgetting that people have today off.

My boss asked me if today was a holiday (when he kept hearing from clients that they'd be off).

Oh well - overall I really like my employers so I can't complain too much....

Sorry, workers. I feel like I should probably go into work today, anyway, but I'm sure that's not going to happen in real life.

Oh, and today the temperatures will get above freezing for the first time in about three weeks. Woot!

By the end of the week it will be in the 40s. And it should rain so all that annoying white stuff all over the place will be gone....

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's a non-working Monday for me, which is good because I'm exhaustificated by going to Boskone this weekend. I suppose the muscle-relaxant I took last night isn't helping either.

Also, it's about 7 degrees out there last time I checked.

Happy birthday, Beverly! Happy birthday, Benno!

Now tagless for your comfort.

It's the usual Monday for me--no sleeping in.

Happy Birthday, Beverly!

Happy Anniversary, Lori & Kat!

I'm getting ready to book a NYC trip next month and wondering if I should go with Jetblue or not. They're making wide cancellations of their flights today to catch back up on their schedule from the Valentine's Day storm. They're still the cheapest flights I can find (even if they are up $100 from what I looked at two weeks ago.)

I'm dithering. Do I continue to look at other options? It's not likely that I'll get a non-stop to NYC out of Columbus if I don't go with them.
