I'm getting packed up to drive across the everglades to see the family. I decided that I didn't want to take the time to make coffee and used one of the instant bags. Yuck. Making real stuff now.

Did I ever tell you I lived in Boca for two years when I was in junior high school? Not too far from you! I haven't been back since college, though (not to Boca, at least).

Yep, Alligator Alley. Although it is no longer a 2 lane terror. Now featuring a huge median so no more head on collisions. My parents and siblings live on the gulf coast of Florida while I have to cling to the big city. When my dad was ill I would make the drive 3 times a week. Now maybe once a month. 140 miles each way. A decent distance for family. It's only a couple hours because high speed highway to whole way.

Oh no, I meant I hadn't been back to visit Boca since college, when I went for spring break to see a friend. I went to NYU and later to Hunter, which is part of CUNY.
So, Go Fug Yourself has an emergency weekend update, which makes me wonder: are they making their living off that blog? If not, how is it that they only update during business hours?
John Swedon -- the dvds I linked to are region 1 Robin of Sherwood dvds that are coming out in mid-March.
(I had to delete the five dvds from my queue one at a time - but I did and added the Robin of Sherwood dvds and then moved them to the top of my queue one at a time. . . which while you're doing it feels like your moving bricks but really is not worth complaining about.)
Oh, the Monk with Paul Blackthorne is on USA - RIGHT NOW. And the 24 with Paul Blackthorne is playing in syndcation now too. (By now, I mean one of his episodes is on tonight.)
