You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Oh dear, I'm the only person in the world who's awake.

It's the Chinese New Year festivities. Wallybee assures me that Shanghai's getting pretty loud, it must be keeping you up.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm trying with the power of my mind to melt the ice off my car. So far it is not working.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Well, I was up, late, and now I'm up, early. The SO is sick, poor boy, and must be feeling pretty rough 'cause he just sent me to the Walgreens for Nyquil. Thank goodness for Walgreens. It was literally just around the corner. If I were still in New Mexico, that'd have been an hour and a half round trip run.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for Walgreens. I hope the Nyquil helps the SO rest.

I slept! Sleep good.

Job~ma going out to quester.

It's raining. Brandy ran out the front door, quickly peed and ran back in. She's a fine girl.

But her life, her love and her lady, is the pee.

Hee.

Hi billytea! Next year Chinese New Year with the Wallybee!

I'm getting packed up to drive across the everglades to see the family. I decided that I didn't want to take the time to make coffee and used one of the instant bags. Yuck. Making real stuff now.

Because books.

Alligator Alley, Laura? I remember that drive.

Did I ever tell you I lived in Boca for two years when I was in junior high school? Not too far from you! I haven't been back since college, though (not to Boca, at least).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yep, Alligator Alley. Although it is no longer a 2 lane terror. Now featuring a huge median so no more head on collisions. My parents and siblings live on the gulf coast of Florida while I have to cling to the big city. When my dad was ill I would make the drive 3 times a week. Now maybe once a month. 140 miles each way. A decent distance for family. It's only a couple hours because high speed highway to whole way.

Did you go to FAU? Lynn?

Oh no, I meant I hadn't been back to visit Boca since college, when I went for spring break to see a friend. I went to NYU and later to Hunter, which is part of CUNY.
