It was a whole 4F this morning when I got downtown, and on the way, I apparently sat in the Arctic Blast seat on the bus. I am still shivering in my office.
Well, the high today is supposed to be 20F. Early next week it should be in the upper 30s. Warm enough to melt this white stuff, or so Science tells me....

We've really lucked out with the temperatures and etc -- basically every sidewalk is clear at this point, even the ones that were only half-assedly shoveled.
I did not. I grabbed the hypothetical stair railing and uttered a hypothetical curse. The dog wagged his hypothetical tail and looked at me to see why the kennel door wasn't open yet.

It was 19 degrees here this morning. That's a stupid number of degrees for it to be in the south. 65 is a better number.

Not all the sidewalks are clear here but the ones that weren't shoveled are covered in hard snow/ice that is kind of crunched up on the top mostly so it's not too hard to walk on.
However, I did get stuck across my alley trying to get into my parking pad yesterday afternoon. My wheels could find no purchase on the ice (although I did clean off my car I'd failed to shovel the parking pad when that was still possible on Wednesday). Luckily, a man from the construction place behind my house came by with a shovel and chipped out some ruts for my wheels. Hooray for good samaritans!!

I am back from the dentist with a temporary crown and one half of a very frozen mouth. I am trying to eating a biscuit, but I'm worried about biting my own lip.
My dentist rocks, btw. It was the crown that broke, and not further decay, so he said this is cover by his "bumper to bumper" warranty.

I'm starting to get my usual parents-visiting anxiety. It's so stupid, because when I go there, we just sit around the house, but when they come here, I want to plan just the right things to do! Ah well. I think we're good -- we have a couple of Events planned, and I have a couple of restaurant ideas, and if it all goes to shit, we can hang out in the mall.
