Because a lot of people skip and skim in Natter (eg me), can we please have a separate thread to say thanks when our Secret Santa gifts arrive?
I don't usually like the thought of more threads, but it would be nice to read about the Secret Santa gifts arriving. I skip like crazy and would miss it in Natter.

Last year there was a 'Goodbye 2001' thred (Goodbye and Good Riddance, 2001). Maybe, if people want somehting similar this year, there could be a thread which will combine the 'Goodbye' thread's purpose and the Secret-Santa Gifts? Buffista-ing the Holidays, or something like that?

I'd say no to a thread just for the secret buffista gifts, but if we want to do a Holiday announcemnts/send off 2002 that would make more sense (at least to me and I'm usually right in my own head anyway.).

I think a general holiday thread for "Good Riddances" and Secret Santa thank-yous would be appropriate. It would also be a good place for people to announce if they're going dark or dim over the holidays (if they felt odd about posting such stuff in Beep Me).

FTR, I'm against the 5 rings thing. Mainly because I'm against the Twelve Days of Christmas.
Of course, I have nothing better to suggest. Maybe something where V stands in also for Versus?
