I wrote a kind of long post and I still feel het up and I addressed several people and I don't want to mail them all separately because I don't like to send people non-positive (not exactly *negative*, but-- oh, shut up, I know negative/positive is a binary!) backchannel emails unless I have a really, really serious problem with what they're doing.
And I don't.
Not yet.
And I didn't have the chance earlier because I wasn't home; and I want to post this now.
I don't like to send people non-positive (not exactly *negative*, but-- oh, shut up, I know negative/positive is a binary!)
'Taint so. Zero is neither positive nor negative.
In a non-math-pedant part of this post, I'm not sure what you should do with the post. So this is really a post of very little content.

AHA!
(Btw, could a Stompie whitefont the last-ep-of-Buffy name spoiler in SP, current latest post? It's teeny, but it'll ping some people's spoiler-radar.)

Done.
Will people think I'm losing it if I want to say one last thing about the m/s/a issue?
The conversation started (again) when someone suggested we should post about his expulsion in Press.
I think we should have done so.
My reasoning? I feel that Avoiding Unpleasant Feelings should take second place to Clearing The Air.

John, I don't have your email addy. can you drop me a line at my profile addy?
In, as they say, sent. I'll make my email address public again, thanks for reminding me.
The first line of my Post I Still Want To Post was
It's my opinion that we should always make a short, flat-of-tone note in Sunnydale Press when someone has been banned, so that everybody, including the people who don't read Bureaucracy, will know.
so yeah, me too.
... t evil We could vote.
My reasoning? I feel that Avoiding Unpleasant Feelings should take second place to Clearing The Air.
I will note that my personal feeling is that this will not Clear The Air, but rather muddy everything.
Bureaucracy is a public board. If you want to know what's going on with board administration you have to read it. Since mieskie wasn't banned, but chose to leave after his deceit was exposed, I don't think it's incumbent upon us to underscore that fact. If mieskie was banned I could see the argument for it. Since the whole point of his self-removal was to end the divisiveness that he had caused, I don't see the value in dragging this out any further. In fact, I think it has a negative value.
Just my opinion.
