Rl, if you feel there's dirty laundry to air, and that you have the right to air it, then air it; but if you don't want to air it, don't talk about it.
(I hadn't brought it up!)
(And I *don't* feel I have the right to air it. As I'm not an admin; and therefore not completely informed as to what they've been doing. But I *want* to bring it up-- I'm not being coy for coy's sake-- and that is my problem.)
we're Not Actually Having.
Except, of course, that some of us are.
And as someone who's not in the know, I think it inappropriate to discuss political matters not accessible to the entire board on the board.
This is really the source of my discomfort. I'll let it go.
Soooo, let's stop talking about it now, okay? I mean, I can see you have some kinds of concerns, but now and here are not the place to address them. Not unless you obtain the right to air whatever supplementary knowledge you seem to have.
Rebecca had a simple and valid point about the banning/unbanning thing, and it kind of got lost in all the innuendo.

And jengod has said that stompies will make a comment about the situation soon: jengod "Bureaucracy 1: Like Kafka, Only Funnier" Mar 14, 2003 7:37:53 pm EST
Can I just ask people to wait until the Stompies can actually say what they have to say?
Here we go:
"The stompies were recently presented irrefutable evidence that Anathema was the poster formerly known as mieskie (photos were involved). He was asked to offer a public apology, but refused because of his sincere belief that it would stir up resentment on the board. He's learned to really respect this place and felt that his continued presence would be divisive. Therefore he agreed to leave.
"The Stompies felt that it was important to deal with this backchannel because we saw no benefit to a public flogging. Anathema has promised that he would not reregister again under another name, and we believe him. We see no reason to discuss this further."
We see no reason to discuss this further.
Well, I can see how this will stick in a few craws.
Shush, you. ;P
