"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Or is, for instance, reference to current Buffy allowed in, say, the current Angel thread? This was raised in Firefly last week, but I didn't see a resolution.

I think it's generally best to watch the references to the most recent episodes. We have people like Matt, who are on tape delay for one show but not the others, or shrift, who's on tape delay for Buffy and Angel, but not Firefly. So if you want to refer to something, maybe whitefont it and warn why?

If I only had a brain...

I have a question about that. We're all dutifully whiting-out a Buffista shout-out that is in no way plot related. It's not a funny line, nobody would notice it if it weren't one of our own. Do we need to be whiting out? Especially since it's mispronounced, so you won't notice it unless you're looking for it?

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

I kind of like the idea that we keep whiting it out, even though it doesn't really spoil anything, because if we don't white this out, then what's going to happen down the road when somebody else wants to post something without whiting it out, and they say, "you didn't that one time"?

I think we set ourselves down a slippery slope if we start making exceptions to the white-out rules.

You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

In my mind, we were able to discuss what's happening in Buffy in terms of what's happening in Angel, etc, because they *are* the same 'verse. But there should be no mention of Buffy or Angel activities in the Firefly thread, or vice versa.

But that's just my mind! Which is occasionally a wacky and scary place!

Art Crawl!!!

I thought that Firefly was supposed to be non-spoilery for un-Americans because it was the one show-thread where we are all on equal ground.

(Well, not so much now - -when North Americans are getting the show and nobody else is.)

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Set all discussions in Archive on WX to PERM. Changed exp. to 120, in the event that whatever changes they make where they make you do that for all non-perm discussions hits sooner, rather than later. And, to get rid of the annoying blurb.

Should perhaps be spot checked, though pretty certain all threads were checked and then checked.

Have not touched other threads, because this took a while, and my brain melted.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Ple, I permanentized all the other threads yesterday. I just hadn't had a chance to get to the attic yet, so thanks. I'll spot check the attic if you want to take a quick look at the others.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Um. just a question. Would it be worthwhile for an admin for WX to go over and post in Buffista threads, say once or twice a week? I don't know how any of this works (mirrors? colored smoke?) so I AM talking completely through my hat. But will WX continue to give space to what are really dead, inactive threads, with the header stors still going through their paces? And if those threads are archived off the WX site, then do we need them to still be there at WX?

Also, speaking of Buffista Shadowlands, the tv folder at TT still says "...to Buffy the Vampire Slayer," even though there isn't an active BtVS thread any more.
