Wow. People are going to avoid the politics thread like we'll be extolling the virtues of pedonecrophilia there all day.
Gar, I think it's just you and me with the interest, so let's give it another day to see if anyone else is on board. If not, I give up, because making a thread for two people sets a terrible precedent.
Wow. People are going to avoid the politics thread like we'll be extolling the virtues of pedonecrophilia there all day.
This is just my opinion, but I can't see a polite-flame-free politics thread as eventually being anything more than a string of "well this is how I think and this is how you think and I guess we'll never agree" posts, which doesn't sound particularly interesting. But hey, prove me wrong.
Oh, I didn't mean to imply that people were somehow wrong by avoiding the thread, nor do I imagine that a flame-free politics discussion is everyone's cup of tea.
At any rate, I have successful flame-free politics discussions every day. Whether or not they're interesting to others isn't really my decision to make.
Jen - I think you are right. We''ll wait and see if there is interest, and if not we can go on having flame free discussion on poltics in natter, and the people who find it uncomfortable can just go on ignoring them.
On the full disclosure front, I would be highly unlikely to subscribe to another thread, esp a politics one. But that doesn't mean that I dislike it when a political discussion arises.
Burrell is me. I'm fine with politics in Natter.
I'm fine w/politics in Natter too.
I'm fine with politics in Natter, but if it were in its own thread I would be there.
I was catching up on the WX Smallville threads and although there is a forum link to WX there isn't a link at the end of the Claaark! thread. (F.Y.I.)
As Brian T was invited back, and rightly celebrated as the author of a scientific paper on Vampire Ecology, we should find it and put it up here.
I remember it having some minor HTML issues, like it came straight out of Word, but that stuff only takes a minute or two to fix.
