I'm so completely against that it make me mad just thinking about it.

At any rate, we had talked about holding off on these discussions til tomorrow.
Also, at that time, I'd propose the first topic is: How do we make decisions?
And then we can move on to specific thoughts and proposals
Sorry, Plei. Consider it withdrawn.
Personally, I would love to keep discussing this stuff -- waiting until Monday feels artificial to me. But I understand why people feel the need to let things sit for a while.
'scool.
I just tend to hold TWoP up as my Warning Policy about such things. They be dangerous.
I really feel very strongly that the first topic should be how we're going to make group decisions.
THEN, what problems are there that people feel the need to address.
THEN, start addressing them.

Oh, ick (I only posted there for about three days, but I think I know what you mean). Or Ultimate Wedding. I thought volunteer and short-term might ward off the insane dictator tendency thing, but then you get into moderating moderators, and that makes things even worse for the Stompies, doesn't it?
I guess I just feel like we put a LOT on the Stompies, including some things you guys don't seem to have signed up for, and I was trying to think of a way to spread out the work. But if it's not a real problem, it's not one.

Concur. Let's see if we can come to agreement on voting (or not) and how that would work.
(Oh, and I agree we should agree on how we agree on things before we discuss any other issues. Or something like that.)

WROD.
I also strongly feel that we need to wait becuase we need to get some perspective (individually) so that we are no longer snappish.
Moderators and ombudsmen do not have to be like TWoP, not at all -- you can see my post on WX discussing how Echo works. Which is not to call Echo a great model community, but you know, I think all of three people have gotten kicked off in its twelve year history, and for things like "hacking into another user's mail and posting it," so clearly it's not a fascist system.
