If every vampire who said he was at the crucifixion was actually there, it would have been like Woodstock.

I see now. But I'm still a little confused. If you don't get either show until months later, how does whitefonting Angel in Buffy, and vice-versa, help? Because we aren't whitefonting Buffy in Buffy, nor Angel in Angel, so if you go in there you are spoiled anyway. So what does it matter?

PaulJ - Feb 18, 2003 8:20:17 am PST #4627 of 10001

"Buffy" and "Angel" are NAFDA threads, and are marked as such in the front page. Which means that there are North American matters being discussed in them, so non-americans who enter there do so at their own risk.

Of course, there are a number of non-americans who get the eps. through hideous copyright-infringing technologies and post there regularly.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

White fonting is for North Americans who may be delayed in one show but not on the others, not for UnAmericans.

Two different groups of people. One lot of white fonting (in NAFDA threads) is for Unamericans, the other lot is for Americans on tape delay.

Edit: majorly x-posty.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

No, we don't whitefont for UnAmericans. If they go into NAFDA threads, they know it's at their own risk.

That specific policy is not to help Unamericans, it's to help Americans who have seen one show but not the other.

t sigh It's all a bit confusing isn't it. God knows how I'd remember it all if I was a newbie.

t edit Incidentally, "NAFDA" stands for "North American Free Discussion Area." Except even freedom has its limits, as North Americans have unfortunately been learning lately.

It's complicated, living in a global community...

I'm getting muddled. I mean in non-NAFDA threads, don't I? Anyway, in threads for people there is whitefonting for one reason, and in threads for another lot of people there is whitefonting for another reason and it's all very confusing.

It's past the vote deadline for the movies thread -- could a Stompy create it? The majority vote-getter is "Buffista Movies 1: Who Doesn't Love Denzel?"

Personally I was hoping for Monkey, but LJ's right.

Also, does WUTW mean Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Mebbe so. The current discussion is of the NAFDA-thread whitefonting for the tape-delayed.

There should be no spoilery discussion in the non-NAFDA threads. Period. Stuff that gets whitefonted there is traditionally things like character names said in passing, but if there's real discussion of plot points, episode analysis, and so on, it belongs somewhere else.
