You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

I know it's a bit early, but I'd like to nominate a thread title:

"Good thinking, Natter 99."

:snerk:

(Yes, that's the first thing I've read on these pages that actually made me make a snerk-like noise, out loud and everything. I suppose it doesn't hurt that I just finished watching an episode, either.)

I'm fine with Angel and Buffy cross-discussion. But then, I would be, since I watch both of them first-run.

Regarding taunting, it drives me slightly crazy as well. Sometimes it makes me feel like the mood of the episode has been spoiled--the more people praise it, the higher my expectations might be raised. Or, you know, something like this.

(If you're extremely sensitive about the film Daredevil and/or the writer making up an opinion about said film for the sake of the joke and/or the word "fuck", avoid that link.)

As one of the people on a tape delay -- I'm for Buffy/Angel cross-discussion, too. I don't venture into either NAFDA thread until I've watched both, and I'm thousands of posts behind, anyway.

But bring Buffy/Angel discussion into, say, the Farscape thread, I'ma have to kick you in the head.

Also, because it was asked for a ways back: shooting script Mister Pointy.

Up with the sun

I'm pro cross-discussion between the show threads, with a one-week delay. I think that eliminates the risk of spoiling for most tape-delayed posters, while still allowing most discussions to take place.

I'm neutral on the War thread. I think it would be an interesting thing to have, and that it would allow for more in-depth discussion than Natter does. But I can also see the argument that it's outside our scope. A mailing list may be the best solution, though I do think the discussion would lose something.

It's past the vote deadline for the movies thread -- could a Stompy create it? The majority vote-getter is "Buffista Movies 1: Who Doesn't Love Denzel?"

I've kind of come round to the anti-war-thread position, but not because we should stick to being a TV and popular culture board, as someone suggested...I think we stopped being that on September 11, 2001.

I agree that there should be at least some form of cross discussion allowed at some point. Sometimes the spoiler avoidance stuff gets out of hand, and I am one who hates to be spoiled. Yet you would think simply mentioning the FE in Angel would not be considered spoiling by now. But I gather that is not the case. Yet the FE's been known to have been around since, what, October?

Is anyone on a five month delay for watching the shows?

When do people overseas get the show?

Thanks for fixing it Schmoker.

(I personally had already been spoilt on that particular issue by an Australian newspaper! Bastards. Although apart from that and one other thing that I read in whitefont in a moment of madness, I'm amazingly unspoilt for the coming season.)
