I'd like it started as soon as possible, and I'd like there to be more in the way of ground rules than normal, specifically about politeness, which is normally understood, but in a case like this might be worth spelling out in bold letters.

Also? No voting on thread title. Something simple, like "US in Iraq." I think everyone will understand what the thread is about.
Agreed, except not precisely that wording because in all probability it will be the US, UK and Australia (at least) in Iraq...

The War Thread is good. Simple.
We need proposed slug wording.
"A thread to politely voice worries, concerns, fears, and other war-related issues. Please do not use raised voices or angry words. This is neither the time nor the place for it."
