Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thanks, Lyra Jane.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Thanks, Lyra Jane.

Oh yeah, I meant to say that too. Nice work.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Q: Who is the Ripper?

It's just "Ripper." No "the." Like Angel. Or Cher.

Also, many here have argued that by having Giles put his glasses on before killing Ben, the writers were effectively saying "This is not Ripper!Giles."

Yup.

Up with the sun

You're welcome.

And, you guys know how I said "Do with it what you will"? That was a typo for, "Further corrections are in the hands of the hivemind, or whoever's HTMLizing this puppy." Sorry -- I'm not trying to be a bitca, I just know I won't have any more time to put into it this week.

Since I said I'd post it on my site, I guess I'll cut and paste into FrontPage and do edits.

Halloween reference, just Ripper, what else?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Am-Chau: If you want to do corrections, that's great. But I'll take care of the html since I want it to have the same code as the original FAQ. Please don't use Front Page. It's bloated and it'll be easier for me to code from plain text.

FWIW, I do want this to be a fandom resource as much as a Buffista resource -- so if Am (or anyone else) wants to post it on her site, that's fine with me.

Um. Right. I was thinking to do corrections and then post it straight off, which I (being basically stupid) normally do with FrontPage. Are we then posting it at a Buffistas URL?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

1) Elisabeth, the mythology faq looks terrific. I set aside my former objections to the separation. It looks like a great resource, and we'll be able to build on it.

2) If we do build a user filter, can we please consider NOT naming it marcie? I am not at all comfortable with applying the connotations from the show episode to our actions here. Are we trying to painfully alienate and ignore someone to the point of invisibility? Do we want filtered users to feel like Marcie? I don't think so, I think we're talking more about our personal comfort levels. So perhaps could we find a better name? I wasn't in on the original discussion, so apologies for not hitting the topic then.

3) I'm glad we hashed the hash, because we're a growing community, and we do need to consider and discuss our boundaries. There were valid points had by many, including connie and miracleman. However, I'm glad to see it looks like we're done rehashing, because as Buffistas we have other, snarkier things to be doing with our time. Like making this an environment we like being in, a community we all feel a part of. Isn't the goal of the etiquette guide and community standards to establish and maintain a comfortable place to be? Let's focus on that (and I don't mean all sunshine and roses, and I do mean leather pants and Sondheim) instead. So in that light...Welcome Newcomers!

4) Threadsuck is freaking great! Thanks a bundle Jon & ita. Just in time for my trip next week.

I think that makes the most sense.
