I don't give half a hump if you're innocent or not. So where does that put you?

Our wings are not tired.

I truly deeply love

Jayne: " "

but in the long run I think

"And did I mention there's a whore?"

works better. Whore funny.

I really, really like "Oh my God, I'm a hack." Show-specific, writing-related, a Jossism, but in no way spoilery since it was something he said on the set rather than in a script.

Exactly. This totally gets my vote, for all these reasons.

Plus, it doesn't set off any prude-alerts that some folks might have at work or wherever.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Oh yeah, whore might be not-so-work-friendly.

Hack, then. I like monkeys, but we can save it until the unamericans have seen it, if they get to see it.

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

Here's the exact quote for the Stompy Foot Thread-Makers:

Like more than one ex-nerd of my acquaintance, Whedon compulsively peppers his speech with self-deprecating asides: ''Oh, my God, I am a hack,'' he moans as we watch Fillion, his thumbs hooked in the belt loops of his skintight slacks, swagger back onto the ship's bridge. But like his show's hero, Whedon exudes confidence.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Okay, The Quotable Firefly is up and running.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, Michele. I've changed the link, and moved it into reference.

If I only had a brain...

Proposed FAQ addition:

Q. "HoYay"?

A. Short for "Homoeroticism, Yay!", a thread the illustrious JenGod contributed to MightyBigTV. Describes those moments when Xander checks out Spike's ass or Angel bends Lindsey backward.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would just add MightyBigTV (now Television Without Pity).
