In my head, some questions can be answered within the text, and some only outside the text.

Actually, Betsy, I like that distinction a whole bunch -- if a question can be answered only going by what's on screen, it's mythology. If not, it's Something Else.

Of course, that would seem to me to argue for keeping all three vampire questions together, but in the original FAQ, since it's never really come up in the text.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Yeah, I see Betsy's point. I was thinking "Buffista stuff" vs. "Show stuff", but then we'd be moving a lot of other stuff in the current FAQ like DVD availability, episode scheduling, and godknowswhatelse. Betsy's idea may be better.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

We should clearly define what is covered in each FAQ in a blurb

like:

Mythology FAQ: covers storylines, characters, language and truths in the Buffyverse.

Buffista FAQ: covers How we talk, who we are, blah blah blah

Not sure if you'd want to put the actor questions in the "original" FAQ or have a third one.

I think the "whatever happened to" questions have separate answers in mythology (m) and actuality (a). Where is Joyce? She died (m), or the actress wanted to spend more time with her husband (a). Where is Giles? He went back to England since Buffy needed time to mature on her own (m), or the actor went back to England to spend more time with his family (a). You could either give just the (m) answer, give both answers, or have a different FAQ for the (a) answers.

I don't think we want to split up the answers.

I'd rather stick to the mythology answers. I think most people can figure out on their own that Seth Green wanted to make movies or whatever. But if someone else wants to write out the actor answers, I could interpolate them.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I'm kinda starting to wonder about creating a separate faq at all. Is ours already unmanageable that we wouldn't be able to tuck in some more basic show questions? Would it make it unusable for other people who don't care about our boards to have just the one?

In some ways I just like the thought that information about us the Buffistas and information about the show that made us a community can reside together. Hmm.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Is Joss now a famous citizen?

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Honestly? I'm a little wary of advertising that Joss Posts Here. Not my noblest impulse, I know, but there it is.

But Tim is okay. I'm not arguing one way or another, I was just wondering.
