Do I wish I was somebody else right now. Somebody not... married, not madly in love with a beautiful woman who can kill me with her pinkie!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Edited because I guess we don't need it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'd like to suggest that this is a little bit of an over-reaction.

It's almost like getting a shout-out on public access, but with fewer attentive viewers.

Bored now. Can I play with the puppy?

Wrod. I almost posted something like this twice, but thought better of it.

I am now thinking my deleting and editing came across as crankiness and sorry if it did- that wasn't my intention. I just agree that if Laura watched for an hour and didn't see anything, we shouldn't bother.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I put on the TV Guide channel when I got home. Only for a quarter hour or so, unfortunately; but it didn't come up in that time.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

And I do think, and this also comes from over a decade online, that threadspread thins community. Right now, there are plenty of people who crossover into all the threads (I'm in everything but Farscape and the Canada thread, for example) and provide connections. The more threads, the more detached we get.

(1) I *totally* agree with this.

(2) How many of the registered users are *active* users?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So... how long did it take us to double our numbers from when we left WX?

I'd be interested to know how many new people have actually posted here. Do we have a way to tell that, ita? Not for anything but curiosity - I lurked for ages back on TT before joining in so it doesn't really mean much. But six months from now we might have a clearer picture of whether we really have a ton new regular members or if a lot of the post-joss sign-ups have drifted away.

FWIW, I could not disagree more that most other posting boards are "communities" in the way that this place is. IME, limited as it may be, this place is unique and special. I don't think a few extra threads here and there will threaten this, but I'm glad we discuss these things to death before adding new ones because I do think it's a danger if it gets too much. Plei's comment about connections is right on.
