This is going to sound horribly snobbish, but perhaps people on TWoP could just privately nudge the posters they like over here, without making board-wide announcements? Because I'm all for new people, as long as they're exactly like us.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm with Angus, which isn't strange because otherwise we're twins in every aspect of our lives. Well, sort of, by which I hardly at all. But I agree with him anyway.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Angus, I like your idea. Certainly, rescue people from the sinking ship and help them get to the dry land and beautiful climate of our island. But TWoP gets an enormous number of hits and I fear a stampede if a link is posted to the message board there.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Please no links on really popular boards! We can handle a trickle, but I don't know about a flood. Of new people, that is.

I'm with yall since I had to flee the TWoP btvs boards due to the very disturbing atmosphere.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I was thinking the same ting. The people who post in the fanfiction thread seem to avoid the rest of the btvs board for the same reason as you, candy, but a link would be a little too open.

Hey, I have a bureaucratic question: Can the FAQ come off the geocities site now?

DXMachina - Sep 18, 2002 9:00:43 am PDT #27 of 10001
You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Jesse, we can keep it there as a backup, I think. All the WX boards link to it should the Phoenix have an outage.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

DX, I just noticed -- the FAQ and Links links on the filk site still point to geocities and go.to.

Coding and Sleeping

I'm torn on the idea of a badfic thread. On the one hand, it seems somewhat on the mean side, on the other there is a tremendous amount of entertainment value to be had. When you release your fic upon the world, you are releasing it into a public forum and opening yourself up for criticism. I don't feel I'd have a problem with my meager contributions to the ficworld being mocked, but writing ability is not a load-bearing member of my ego. Maybe a disclaimer would be sufficient, warning off those who might be uneasy with the mocking, or who would be offended if they turn out the be the mockee.
