My reflex is that the recommended fanfiction should point to rec pages or to archives.

I agree. Pointing to the stories themselves isn't really a good idea -- links change, etc. And, yes, the list could become far too long for the purposes of the Buffista Links page.

Y'know, I could maintain a recs page if we wanted to have one.

Snerk. And here I thought I was the one who continually volunteered for insanely huge projects. There's the site design, deciding what content to present and how to present it, chasing down umpteen-bajillion dead links when people move or redesign their site structure...

I'd like to mention that although I will be attempting to learn PHP/MySQL, that doesn't necessarily mean I'll be any good at it. And even if I am, I kind of have way too many website projects to be considered reliable ita-backup. Unless I finally figure out how to get by without sleeping.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

To individual stories there you mean? Because a list of archives isn't really that helpful, to me anyway, but individual story recs would be.

I'm trying to get away from (on the links page, anyway) from linking to individual stories, because of sheer volume. So I think there should be a fan fiction section that points to recs and archives.

On the links page, absolutely. But if we're to have an actual recs page (and I'd be glad to assist with the upkeep, btw) I'd like to see individual stories.

That's also under discussion on the BBaBB thread somewhere, about the scope, etc.

Plasmo, brings up a good point. We circled around the banning process and came to a general consensus of warning, suspension, banning, but we didn't nail it down and make it specific. Which we should probably go ahead and do.

Again, I'm going on record as get much more specific than that and you're asking for trouble.

Your asking for it either way, mind, but you're asking for worse trouble when you go into more specifics.

But that's the bitter old BBS queen/sysop in me talking.

Thanks for all the fish.

The quote that just came up in the header (That's disturbing. You are emotionally scarred and will turn out badly.) is attributed to Dawn, when, in fact, it is Anya referring to Dawn.

Just for accuracy.

Thanks, Elena. It's been corrected.
