Right - I missed that excitement.

Bureaucracy 1: Like Kafka, Only Funnier
A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.
Current Stompy Feet: ita, Jon B, DXMachina, P.M. Marcontell, Liese S., amych
Given the taunting nature of the troll's final post, would it be appropriate to delete the post? It would take away that certain 'nyah-nyah, I got the last word' feeling.
What a twerp. We disagree with each other all the time. Besides, I would hardly call Buffista discussions 'sanitized.'
I always find it amusing that folks pull the "big brother" argument when they get banned from a community. I thought this decision was reached rationally and with a wide consensus. I guess some people feel that free speech comes without the "responsible for what you say" stuff attached.
Leave it. I prefer that to the This Post has been deleted... which is more glaring. I don't expect to hear anything further.

I'd rather have a Stompy Foot put in an announcement that he was suspended for 2 mths for his behaviour so at least everyone else in the thread has some idea of what happened.
Actually, since he's already violated the terms of his suspension, I'm all for permanently banning him. What do you think?
I'd like to leave his post standing. It further demonstrates his lack of regard for the community and lack of willingness to respect our culture. I'd be mortified and apologizing all over the place if the Buffistas banned me.
I would like to see a stompy foot explain he's been banned - in the Firefly thread - if that's not against policy.
(Also, is it possible to block his IP without also keeping out innocents?)
DX - I'm with you.
Actually, since he's already violated the terms of his suspension, I'm all for permanently banning him. What do you think?
Eh. Doubt he'll be back, if no one plays his reindeer games.
Andif he DOES come back, it'll inevitably result in him being banned again, so it doesn't matter.
But for reference's sake, do we HAVE a way to ban someone, I mean, short of witching each new profile to inactive?
I would like to see a stompy foot explain he's been banned - in the Firefly thread - if that's not against policy.
Actually, I'd prefer to let the matter drop at this point. If it comes up, we can explain, but otherwise, best to just let things go.
