It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

That is rather cute. Oh dear.

Edit: I said that before billytea's second post, which renders it, um, different.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

The way issues are discussed in Buffista Bureaucracy is a beautiful thing to behold. Thank you.

It was my booger-in-the-watercress analogy that sealed it for you, wasn't it?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

It was my booger-in-the-watercress analogy that sealed it for you, wasn't it?

We Buffistas do so love a good metaphor...

Personally I'm more than a little weird on the notion that a ten year old is reading our boards

I'm far less weirded out because her sister is here and is a member of this community than I would be if, say, a 14 year old were posting here unsupervised.

Our wings are not tired.

Yep, I like my discussion like I like my drama, with a healthy dash of humor. Now I'm getting all sniffly here.

edit to add that my 10 year old son reads the buff dive quotes that appear when I open my browser and giggles. We don't talk Yu-Gi-Oh enough to keep his attention longer than that.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Yep, I like my discussion like I like my drama, with a healthy dash of humor. Now I'm getting all sniffly here.

And now I have a motto for my mother: "I like my conversation like I like my drama, starting with a dead body."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm far less weirded out because her sister is here and is a member of this community than I would be if, say, a 14 year old were posting here unsupervised.

But look at Holli -- she had to convince people she was as young as she was, because otherwise they wouldn't have believed her.

she had to convince people she was as young as she was, because otherwise they wouldn't have believed her.

Yes, but I didn't know that until after I'd been here a long time. Had I known earlier? I would've been weirded and possibly I might not have posted a lot when she was around.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So, monkey-grooming gestures all around.

I love Nutty.

hip deep in pie

Because it bears repeating:

Having been one of the more vocal worrywarts in the wake of Joss' delurk, I think I should mention something encouraging. My misgivings about the membership boom seem to have been largely unwarranted... we've had one obvious troll and one debatable case out of over 200 new members, and been blessed with a much larger number of newbies who've seamlessly joined the discussions with their own polite and insightful points of view.

Also newbies, you are us. And the more you contirbute, the more you are one of us. (One of us! One of us!) So please don't hesitate to contribute to the discussions about the board.
