Surprised me, but never offended. But then, I wasn't offended by He Who Shall Not Be Named.

Cheers, ita. You rule.
And thanks, folks - love you guys. Really glad I haven't been offending you madly. Think I may just try to shut up, though (although God knows how successful I'll be) because I'm not feeling good about this, and I don't think I've been helping the situation.

Please don't feel bad about it -- the guy just picked on you as the nearest person who'd used crude language or made crude jokes -- like I said to him, he's offended the community, and he can tell that because the community is writing to him "we're offended". This is not true of you. QED.
Policy question -- should Joe Random be allowed to register as, say, Dave Fury? Even (or especially) if the Mustard Man himself is already registered as David Fury, or whatever?
And if the answer is no (which I think it should be), we need to state that clearly.
I think an appropriate policy would be "If you claim to be somebody famous, we'll ask you to prove it."
What if it's ... David Furious, or Joss Sweden, or say (and this is where we leave the realm of hypothesis) Tim Minaer?
ahhh. Sigh.
I'll be over here in the bunker, whimpering.
David Furious, or Joss Sweden, or [...] Tim Minaer?
The first two are funny.
"Parodying other people's names (whether real or adopted) is tacky. We ask that you don't do it."
Welcome to the real world, folks. Possibly a statement of "We suspect you're not who you're almost pretending to be, so we may mock your efforts to look important."
