In sillier news...
The big day has finally come. And this Thursday at ten on CBS, if you don't blink at the wrong moment, there is a greater than zero chance you'll see my little face on your television. I am wearing a green coat and a plaid scarf at SPOILER ALERT a crime scene on my very favorite show, Elementary.
Watch-and -post in Procedurals. Watch-and-point if you live nearby :)
I took pictures of a lot of ita's fannish stuff and will post them on Facebook tomorrow morning at 9:30 board time and will link to it here. Anyone who wants some of them can claim them in a first come first serve basis and then they will be mailed out.
I want to thank everyone who contributed to ita's fund. Because of your generosity, we were able to cover most of their hotel bill, the memorial brunch, obituary, phone service, and some incidental costs like lunches for everyone tasked with clearing the apartment and such.
You helped, so much. You made the burden of a completely shitty, unjust, horrible event in all of our lives a bit lighter, and it has meant so much to her family.
ita's father said that we are all their extended family.
I'm forever grateful to all of you.
PDA America, the org that I do the volunteering for, is looking for fundraisers.
While we CAN beat the Koch Brothers and their associates with people power, we can't do it with NO money.
So, here's your chance to use your phone skills and supplement your income while helping build PDA.
I'm looking for 5 commission-based fundraisers. Folks who will take leads that we provide, call them, and secure contributions for PDA. Starting pay is 20% of gross contributions.
If you've been a successful sales person in the past, you'll find this work easy, and probably more fulfilling than your sales job was.
Full or part time. You set your hours. Work from the comfort of home. All you need is unlimited long distance and a reliable internet connection.
Let me know if you're interested!
Send e-mail to mikefoxatpdaamerica with the subject "I'll dial for dollars" I personally find Mike a pleasure to do stuff for, but people do get a little different when money changes hands.

Hey, a bunch of us decided to make a Facebook group for health and workout talk, advice, snark and occasional bitching.
It's called "Buffistas Kicking Health's Ass."
Let me know on FB if you want to join! Friends of Buffistas who are a good fit for the Buffistas snarkostyle are welcome to join, also.

Last year I sold my very first short story. We just launched the Kickstarter for Genius Loci: Tales of the Spirit of Place, so you can pre-order the book to read my story! I am also offering an online writing workshop as a reward. I'm excited about this anthology, so any support and/or signal boosting is appreciated!
