We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know...insane.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Diamond Pet Foods has issued a recall for a number of dry dog foods manufactured at its facilities due to a salmonella threat [link] That's the link to the announcement on their website. The list of brands under recall is by no means complete - Wellness and Natural Balance have both announced through their email newsletter lists that they are recalling some of their dry dog foods manufactured at Diamond facilities. I recommend checking out the website for instructions on how to identify what foods are included.

Our wings are not tired.

For fellow iPad and iPhone readers who are annoyed with spoiler font not being easily read, I have a (partial) solution. Last night I downloaded an app for browsing called iCab. It has a module (settings) that allows web pages to display all font as black (or white) with contrasting background. Unfortunately it's not possible to make it your default browser on the iPhone. But that's okay for me because I only plan to use it to read b.org when I am all caught up on a movie and want to go back and read 250 white-fonted posts.

(I saw Avengers yesterday and ONLY read fun stuff on iPad or iPhone; my laptops are for work! So I had to find a solution for all of that spoilerfont!)

Hope this is helpful.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Hear Ye, Hear Ye...

I just got an email from our hotel coordinator for the Pasadena F2F (June 29-July 1), and so far we only have four rooms reserved (plus the suite, which I’m putting on my credit card), and we’re just about two weeks from the cutoff date for the cheap group rate. Any more takers? This is especially important to find out because if we are going to have a smaller turnout, we won’t be able to afford an official Prom room at the hotel. That will still work out--our place is only a few miles away, so we can throw the shindig at our house if we need to save money--but I’d like to get a sense of our numbers since I need to sign the contract for the Prom room and bar/food if we are going that route. It’s really important that we get a rough final count within the next two weeks to finalize these plans.

Also, we do not yet have any donations to the Prom fund to cover the HS and Prom expenses. Help! Donations can be made to ND’s paypal: drew@drewdalzell.com

I have x-posted to F2F. Book now or forever hold your bookings!

Details about how to book and what cool things await in Pasadena on the F2F website: [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hey you guys! It's that time again -- time to think about donating toward board maintenance expenses! Wooo hoooo!!!

No, but seriously: As you know, no one has to pay to use the site, there are no ads, etc., but it still costs money to run. So if you have some extra money lying around, please consider sending some of it to us. Any amount will help -- if everyone sent $5, we'd be in good shape for a long time.

You can paypal to donations at buffistas dot org, or email me for my address, if you'd prefer to send a check.

Thanks!
