Hear Ye, Hear Ye...
I just got an email from our hotel coordinator for the Pasadena F2F (June 29-July 1), and so far we only have four rooms reserved (plus the suite, which I’m putting on my credit card), and we’re just about two weeks from the cutoff date for the cheap group rate. Any more takers? This is especially important to find out because if we are going to have a smaller turnout, we won’t be able to afford an official Prom room at the hotel. That will still work out--our place is only a few miles away, so we can throw the shindig at our house if we need to save money--but I’d like to get a sense of our numbers since I need to sign the contract for the Prom room and bar/food if we are going that route. It’s really important that we get a rough final count within the next two weeks to finalize these plans.
Also, we do not yet have any donations to the Prom fund to cover the HS and Prom expenses. Help! Donations can be made to ND’s paypal: drew@drewdalzell.com

Hey you guys! It's that time again -- time to think about donating toward board maintenance expenses! Wooo hoooo!!!
No, but seriously: As you know, no one has to pay to use the site, there are no ads, etc., but it still costs money to run. So if you have some extra money lying around, please consider sending some of it to us. Any amount will help -- if everyone sent $5, we'd be in good shape for a long time.

Also, at this point we have only raised $145 of the at least $500 (without a room for Prom, just a HS and some snacks). I’m getting nervous, all. If we get a Prom room, we’re looking at closer to $1000.
I'm going to be competing in Milwaukee next weekend at Midwest Brewhaha. If you're up that way and want to see some awesome roller derby, that's the place to be.

In silly, but potentially super-helpful, news...I've entered Cagney in a Petflow 'cuties pageant.'
If he wins, I can donate 500lbs of food the the New York Avenue shelter of the Humane Society, here in DC. This particular shelter does not get the big bucks and their charges are mostly unadoptable dogs and a metric ton of cats (it's litter season).
