What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I am participating in the Spelling Bee for Cheaters to support 826 Valencia, which provides writing workshops for students and resources for teachers. It is a wonderful organization that also runs the pirate store. Buffistas love writing AND pirates, so I hope you will support my fundraising efforts and keep these programs free for students.

Thank you!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Southernistas! The DH is doing one of his motorcycle trips, this time around NOLA and Gulf Coast FLA. Please visit his blog and give him ideas of funky/cool places to eat or roads to drive on or stuff to see. [link]

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Reminder: the Firefly W&P continues tonight at 5:30pm Board time (8:30pm EST). "Shindig" is this week's episode.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm doing it again--I'm jumping into a frozen Wisconsin lake to raise money for Special Olympics. Only this time, I'm doing it with my derby team. If you have a little bit to donate, please visit our team's website.

Trying again after eliminating bad elements in my last post.

Please indulge my call for creative criticism of a piece I am working on. Which is better:

WITH a photo.

Or, WITHOUT.

I desperately need a non-dyslexic proofreading as well. Any other comments will be gratefully received at my profile addy or in Bitches.

Many thanks!

My newest newsletter includes a short essay on what messes up communication, a geeky game night invitation and a copy of the referral card the Buffistas perfected.

The online version is here. I'd be so grateful if you would pass it around!

Also, DCistas, please let your single gamer friends, especially women, know about the Labyrinth event. It's going to be fun! (The shopkeeper is afraid she can't recruit enough gals, not sure why.)

You can find a copy of the event announcement (pdf) here.
